Ocean

The ocean surrounds the island of Carrilion. It's influences extend onto the coast and reach into the rivers with each flood. The domain of ocean is related to elemental Air and Water and opposes Fire.

This domain honors the realm of Mannanán mac Lir, the god of the sea, to whom all fishermen, sailors and pirates pray for good winds and a calm sea.

The spells of this domain deal with the control of winds and waves.

Granted Powers:

Channeling : Rebuke, command, or bolster oceanic creatures (all with aquatic subtype and also sea birds, polar bears and others dwelling in an oceanic or coastal environment).

Note: 5 ranks of Knowledge (oceans) give you a +1 bonus to the DC for rebuking and commanding oceanic creatures.

Add Swim, Profession (sailor) and Knowledge (oceans) to your list of class skills. Knowledge (oceans) covers everything aquatic and oceanic: animals, fey, giants, (monstrous) humanoids, magical beasts, plants and other inhabitants, seasons and cycles, weather, gods and goddesses, mythic history, legends and ancient mysteries.

You gain the (new) feat Mariner.

Domain Spells

  1. Create Water: Creates 2 gallons/level of pure water.
  2. Obscuring Mist: Fog surrounds you.
  3. Water Breathing: Subjects can breathe underwater.
  4. Control Water: Raises or lowers bodies of water.
  5. Rusting Grasp: Your touch corrodes iron and alloys.
  6. Control Winds: Change wind direction and speed.
  7. Find the Path: Shows most direct way to a location.
  8. Control Weather: Changes weather in local area.
  9. Whirlwind: Cyclone deals damage and can pick up creatures.
  10. Summon Nature's Ally IX*: Calls creature to fight.
*Only aquatic or oceanic creatures can be summoned.
