Earth is one of the four elements and opposes Air.

Earth, Stone, Ore and metal are all part of the element Earth. It is therefore the most diverse element, but also the most rigid - slow and heavy. Of the human races the dwarves are the most earth-bound, literally living in it. Humans and Elves merely live on it's surface and usually don't care what's beneath them. The element Earth is related to Autumn and Smithing.

Earth is the most important element to the Tuatha dé Dannan, and the domain is granted by many deities.

Deities: Dana, Dagda, Cernunnos, Artio, Goibniu

Granted Powers:

Channeling: Turn air creatures.

Channeling: Rebuke, command, or bolster earth creatures.

Note: 5 ranks of Knowledge (the planes) give you a +1 bonus to the DC for turning air creatures, as well as rebuking and commanding earth creatures.

You gain Stonecunning: This ability grants you a +2 bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework, such as sliding walls, stonework traps, new construction (even when built to match the old), unsafe stone surfaces, shaky stone ceilings, and the like.

If you are a dwarf, this bonus stacks with your racial Stonecunning.

Something that isn't stone but that is disguised as stone also counts as unusual stonework. If you merely come within 10 feet of unusual stonework you can make a Search check as if you were actively searching, and you can use the Search skill to find stonework traps as a rogue can.

You can also intuit depth, sensing your approximate depth underground as naturally as a normal human can sense which way is up.

Domain Spells

  1. Create Earth: Creates 1 pound/level of stone, earth or sand on the ground.
  2. Magic Stone: Three stones become +1 projectiles, 1d6 +1 damage.
  3. Soften Earth and Stone: Turns stone to clay or dirt to sand or mud.
  4. Stone Shape: Sculpts stone into any shape.
  5. Spike Stones: Creatures in area take 1d8 damage, may be slowed.
  6. Wall of Stone: Creates a stone wall that can be shaped.
  7. StoneskinM: Ignore 10 points of damage per attack.
  8. Earthquake: Intense tremor shakes 5-ft./level radius.
  9. Iron Body: Your body becomes living iron.
  10. Elemental Swarm*: Summons multiple elementals.
*Cast as an earth spell only.
